Privacy – not lately
Last updated: 20 October 2026
The short version. not lately keeps your categories and tasks on your own phone. I don't have accounts, ads or tracking. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is a message you choose to send me through the app.
What stays on your phone
Your categories, tasks, dates and settings are stored only on your device. I can't see them. If you make a backup, it is a file that you save yourself, in a folder on your phone or wherever you choose to share it (for example your cloud storage or a message to yourself). I don't receive it.
Messages you send me
In Settings you can send me a message. If you do, I store:
- the text of your message (and my reply, if I write one);
- the app version and which update of the app you are running, your platform (Android or iPhone) and your language setting;
- the date and time you sent it, and whether you ticked "no reply please";
- a random anonymous ID that identifies your installation of the app. It is not linked to your name, email address or phone number, and I don't ask for any of those. Please don't put personal details in your message unless you want me to have them.
I use this only to read your message, to reply to you, and to improve the app.
Where it is stored
Messages are stored in a database hosted by Supabase in West EU (Ireland). Only I can read all messages. Your phone can read only your own messages and my replies to you.
How long, and your control
I keep a message until you or I delete it. In the app you can edit a message you sent (as long as I haven't replied after it), delete one of your messages, or delete your whole conversation. Deleting removes it from the server straight away and permanently. If you can't delete something yourself (for example because I replied after it), or if you lost the app, contact me and I will remove it: hello@notlately.app.
Updates
The app checks for updates of its own code through Expo's update service. This involves your device's platform, the app and update version, and its IP address, as with any internet connection. I don't use this to identify you.
Sharing
I don't sell or share your data. Supabase hosts the database for me, and Expo delivers app updates; both process data only as needed to provide those services.
Children
The app is not aimed at children and I don't knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask me for access to your data, correction or deletion. Because your messages are linked only to an anonymous ID, I may need your help to find them (for example the time you sent a message). Contact: hello@notlately.app. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority: gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
Changes
If this changes, I will update this page and the date above.

Privacy – not lately

- de tekst van je bericht (en mijn antwoord, als ik je antwoord);
- de appversie en welke update van de app je gebruikt, je platform (Android of iPhone) en je taalinstelling;
- het moment waarop je het stuurde en of je "liever geen antwoord" hebt aangevinkt;
